One final reflection
as today rushes towards tomorrow
and sleep begins to devour all waking thought
a meditation of sorts
or perhaps a prayer of the secular kind
This is the chance
to push aside pettiness, disappointment, and anger
and too much attention spent on my shortcomings
A place to be kind and loving
to be humble
from one known for passion and brash
This is the time
and this is the space
to be thankful
