It's Only Light

It’s only light

it’s only perception

electromagnetic radiation bent, shaped, generated

and reflected  

It’s only a pair of eyes upon a face

or two lips coming towards me

It’s only pigment and shading

it’s only color and hue

But sometimes

it’s more than I can possibly handle
